Margie Ruth Pinkerton – November 18, 2014

Pinkerton Obit PicMargie Ruth Pinkerton, 86, of Amarillo, Texas, died Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2014.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 22, 2014, in Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel with Brian Mashburn, minister of Southwest Church of Christ.  Burial will be at noon, Monday, Nov. 24, 2014, in Ft. McPherson National Park in Maxwell, Nebraska.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Margie was born July 23, 1928, in Damascus, Arkansas to Leander and Eula Mae Clark.  She was a member of Southwest Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Pinkerton; and five sons, Michael Pinkerton, Kenneth Pinkerton, Alan Pinkerton, Jay Pinkerton and Roger Pinkerton.

Survivors include three sons, Danny Pinkerton (Peggy) of Laguna Niguel, California and Gene Pinkerton Jr. of Abilene, Texas and Tim Pinkerton (Heather) of Allen, Texas; two daughters, Linda Carroll (Dan) of Amarillo, Texas and Phyllis Capparelli (Joe) of Albany, New York; a sister, Jeannie Jackson of San Diego, California; three brothers, Glenn Clark, Johnny Glad and Chucky Glad Jr., all of San Diego, California; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

  1. I was so sorry to read of Marge’s death. The family was there to help me through a lot of hard times. I have many good memories of all of you. May God comfort you as only he can.
