Morton Obit PicArline Mae Morton, 80, of Claude, died Monday, Feb. 2, 2015.

Memorial services will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 5, 2015, in First Baptist Church of Claude with Dick Gravley, pastor, officiating.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers at Claude, 200 Parks Ave.

Arline was born Dec. 11, 1934, in Wellington, Kan. to Willis and Ruby Beatty.  She graduated from Crook County High School in Prineville, Ore.  In 1952, Arline married Jack L. Morton in Zuma, Ariz.  He preceded her in death on Aug. 31, 2013.  Arline was a member of First Baptist Church of Claude.

She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Knox.

Survivors include two sons, Chris Morton and wife Pam, of Goodnight and Russell Morton and wife Aji of Midland; two daughters, Debra Hartley of Claude and Katherine Schieffer of Houston; a brother, Richard Beatty and wife Gail of Oregon; eighteen grandchildren; thirty-one great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

The family suggests memorials be made to Gentiva Hospice, 3232 Hobbs Avenue, Amarillo, TX 79109.

    I am so sorry for your loss. Mrs. Morton was such a sweet lady and I have lots of memories of her when I think of my childhood. I know that her and Jack are together again having a good time. Please know that your family are in my prayers.
