Billy Gene Robison – August 20, 2017

Billy Gene Robison, 87, of Lubbock, died Sunday, August 20th, 2017.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 26th, 2017, in the Claude, Texas Cemetery.  Viewing will be from Noon-6:00 p.m., Friday, August 25th, 2017, at Boxwell Brothers in Claude, 200 Parks Ave.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Mr. Robison was born June 30, 1930, in Amarillo, to J.E. (Ed) and Callie Baker Robison. He graduated from Claude High School in 1948 and attended Texas Tech University. He married Ruth Faye Brunson on June 8, 1951, in Clovis, N.M. He owned and operated Robison Seed Co. with his wife, from 1958 to 1994. He was a Master Mason in good standing and a 50+ year lifetime member of Kiva Shriners of Amarillo.  He enjoyed traveling and being able to participate in the accomplishments of his grandchildren.

He is survived by two sons, C. Dale Robison and wife Vanessa of Lubbock, and Mark Robison and wife Joan of Canyon; three grandchildren, Christian J. Robison of Cocoa Beach, Florida and Aubrie Jo Robison of Lubbock, and Penni Nelson of Dallas; several brother and sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife, Ruth and his brothers, John T. Robison and D.K. (Dutch) Robison.

The family suggests memorials be to the Armstrong County Museum, Box 450, Claude, Texas, 79019.
