Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 25, 2017 in Southwest Church of Christ with Brian Mashburn and Kyle Wade, ministers, officiating. Burial will be private.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Cody was born June 9, 1977 in Amarillo to Jon and Rhonda Salmon. He was a 1995 Randall High School graduate.  He loved to play disc golf, enjoyed going to concerts and playing guitar.

His children were his greatest joy. Cody was full of compassion that ran his life and an underdog champion. He was a member of Southwest Church of Christ.

He married Shannon Phillips on April 1, 2013, in Amarillo.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Charles Little in 1966 and Pete Salmon in 1982, a brother, Clay Salmon in 2010, and his father Jon Salmon in 2015.

Survivors include his wife, Shannon Salmon, of Amarillo; a daughter, Shaylee Salmon of Lubbock; a son, Slade Salmon of Amarillo; a stepson, Israel Gonzales of Lubbock; his mother, Rhonda Salmon of Amarillo; a brother, Casey Salmon and wife Tara of Amarillo; and his grandmothers, Mildred Little and Marie Salmon; aunts and uncles, David and Linda Thurston, of Amarillo and Greg and Lana Little of Amarillo; and many cousins.
