Craig Owen, 65, of Amarillo, died Tuesday, March 21, 2017.Owen Obit Pic (2)

Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 24, 2017, in Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel with Donnie Conger officiating.   Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Craig was born July 10, 1951, in Vernon to Stanley and Jean Owen.   He was a Texas sports fan, loved being outside and was an umpire for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Jean Owen; and his first wife, Rosemary Owen.

Survivors include a daughter, Christy Conger and husband Donnie; a son, Coby Owen and wife April; a brother, Jerry Owen and wife Cindi; six grandchildren; his wife, Debbie Owen; friend, Susan Clemann; and other family and friends.

  1. I’m so sorry to hear of Craig’s passing. I had known Craig since I was a little boy and my older brother and Craig were friends and classmates at Caprock. May God send his peace and comfort to all of Craig’s family.

  3. I’m so sorry for your loss. I have a lot of fond memories of Craig. From Western Merchandiser’s Banquet, to numerous umpire games and events. My most fond memory is that he and Debbie opened their home and hosted my wedding to my husband, Wayne. I will forever be greatly to him. My God bless your family with comfort and healing.
