D.P. Duggan – May 22, 2017

D.P. Duggan, 76, of Amarillo died Monday, May 22, 2017.

There will be no formal services. Friends who would like to pay their respects or visit with the family are welcomed and encouraged to do so at the gravesite.  Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 25, 2017, in Highland Park Cemetery in Borger.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

D.P. was born March 25, 1941, in Borger to Duke and Zo Duggan. He began a 35 year railroad career in 1965, retiring from BNSF in 2000.

He was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Zo and Duke Duggan; his father, Tom Butler; a sister; two brothers; and a stepson, Kerry Porter.

Survivors include his wife, Beverly Duggan, of Amarillo; four brothers, Jack Stockman, of West Virginia, Case Duggan and wife Jeanie, of Borger, and Andrew Butler and Tommy Butler both of Joshua Tree, Calif.; two sisters, Audrey Butler and Anita Virden, all of Joshua Tree, Calif.; two stepchildren, Mike Woods and Kirk Porter; 8 grandchildren, Brandy, Rose, Mika, Tyler, Brandan, Katlyn, Maddie and Jake; and 3 great-grandchildren, Derek, Colin and Kaleb.
