Emma Jean Brinkley – November 30, 2012


Emma Jean Brinkley, 87, of Panhandle died on Friday, November 30, 2012 in Amarillo.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 3, 2012 at the First Baptist Church in Panhandle. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers at Panhandle.
Mrs. Brinkley was born on March 1, 1925 to Homer and Vona Gray. She worked for Admiral Linen Supply and Panhandle ISD, where she retired after 21 years of service at the age of 75.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Lewis Curt Brinkley on February 20, 1988; a son, Jimmy Lee Brinkley on March 19, 1989 and by a granddaughter, Tammy Ranae on November 29, 2012.
Survivors include a daughter, Doris Jean Woody and husband Lee of Glide, Oregon; two sons, Rodney Dale Brinkley and wife Patsie of Amarillo and Calvin Lynn Brinkley of Panhandle; a daughter-in-law, Pat Davis Brinkley of Panhandle; a sister, Gladys Crow of Farmington, New Mexico; a sister-in-law, Sally O’Hare of Wellington; two very special nieces, Debbie Grey of Panhandle and Donna Laurence of Pampa; nine grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. to noon Monday at Boxwell Brothers at Panhandle.
