Jack Stewart Bost – March 30, 2012

Jack Stewart Bost, 90, of Amarillo, died Friday, March 30, 2012.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 2, 2012, at the Llano Mausoleum Chapel.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Jack was born Sept. 30, 1921, to Ernest and Lillian Bost.   He was raised and lived all of his life in Amarillo.  Jack graduated from Amarillo High School and attended Texas Tech in Lubbock.  During World War II, Jack served in the Merchant Marines.  He was a Mason and retired from Texaco Refinery.  Jack loved to dance and was member of the 45 Uppers Dance Club.

Survivors include a son, Larry Roan of San Francisco, CA; three grandchildren, Derek, Tracy and Jennifer; and his companion, Mary Johnson of Amarillo;

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be to American Cancer Society, 3915 S. Bell St., Amarillo, TX 79109.

    Judy and I have many fond memories of Jack and fishing with him at Conchas and Ute Lakes.

    We remeber Jack as a great neighbor and friend. It was our pleasure to live next to Jack and Mary for 3 years on Julian. He always had a wave and smile for us and sometimes an interesting story.
