John Michael “J.J.” Cook, Jr. – May 2, 2017

John Michael “J.J.” Cook, Jr., 28, of Amarillo died Tuesday, May 2, 2017.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, May 5, 2017, in Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel with Mannie Burgos, pastor of St. Matthew’s Methodist Church, officiating.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

J.J. was born Nov. 4, 1988, in Amarillo to Eugenia and John Michael Cook, Sr.  He was a certified nurse’s assistant and last worked as a concrete finisher.

He was a wonderful artist and tattoo artist and loved his four girls very much and his lowrider very much.  He was very loved and will be deeply and truly missed by all his friends and family.

Survivors include his wife, Mariah Moreno-Cook, of Amarillo; three daughters, Maliyah, Zemeri and Willow Moreno-Cook, all of Amarillo; his parents, John Michael Cook, Sr. and Eugenia Claudrick and husband Virgil, all of Amarillo; four sisters, Reesa and Sissy Cook, Jasmine and Coretta Claudrick, all of Amarillo; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Rudy and Anna Moreno, of Amarillo; several nieces and nephews; his best friend, Shaun Castro; and sister-in-law, Dominique Castro.
