Marcus “Mark” Victor Handing – May 15, 2017

Marcus “Mark” Victor Handing, 61, of Wildorado died Monday, May 15, 2017, in Amarillo.

Rosary will be said at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 17, 2017 in Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel.  Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, May 18, 2017 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Umbarger.  Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Umbarger.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Mark was born July 11, 1955, in Canyon to Anton and Agnes Wink Handing.  He was raised in Umbarger and graduated from Canyon High School in 1974.  He married the love of his life of 30 years, Lea Ann Huseman on Dec. 6, 1986.

Mark was a farmer and rancher.  He enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with his family.  He loved teaching people about farming.  Mark was a loving husband, father and grandpa.  He was a lifetime member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and a member of Knights of Columbus.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and five brothers, Anthony, Robert, Jimmy, Vernon and Stanley.

Survivors include his wife, Lea Ann Handing; two sons, Martin and wife Sarah of Canyon and Troy Handing of Amarillo; three sisters; three grandchildren, Paxton, Averie and Emerie Handing; and numerous nieces and nephews.

    Lee Ann we are so sorry for your loss. May the Lord Jesus Christ hold you tightly in his arms. Cling to Mary, She stood at the foot of her son’s cross and suffered his death, she is the only one who knows now you feel.
