Marshall Paul "Speck" Crawford – December 11, 2016

crawford-obit-picMarshall Paul “Speck” Crawford, 89, of Bushland, died Sunday, Dec. 11, 2016.

Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 15, 2016, in Palo Duro Cemetery in Wildorado with Bob Miller officiating.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Speck served in World War II during the occupation of Japan.  He retired from SW Portland Cement Plant.  He was a devoted father and husband and lifelong cowboy.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Marsha Campbell; a son, Monty Crawford; and a sister, Mary Lou Lantz.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 65 years, Laquita Crawford; two daughters, Terri Robinson and husband Kevin and Polly Cheyne and husband Dennis; six grandchildren, Bryan Sparks and wife Carrah, Bart Cheyne and wife Jennifer, Britten Buster and husband Chris, Keli Gillis and husband Lyle, Nicole McWatters and husband Andrew, and Zach Crawford; and 11 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2016, at the funeral home.

  3. Uncle Speck was one in a million. Had great horses and loved the Cowboy Way of life. Prayers for comfort for Aunt Quita Terri Polly and their families. Love you all
