Oliver Alonzo Wann – November 10, 2017

Oliver Alonzo Wann, 84, of Bushland, died Friday, November 10, 2017.

Services will be at 4:00 p.m. today, Sunday, November 12, 2017 in Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel. Private burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery at Vega.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Oliver was born on November 16, 1932 in Booneville, Arkansas to Virgie and Arvel Wann. He had been a manager for various co-op elevators in Sunray, Hartley, Adrian and Bushland.  He was a veteran in the United States Army.  He was a Baptist.

He married Darlene Lechner on November 14, 1957 in Amarillo.

Oliver was preceded in death by a daughter, Mende Ruth and a sister, Winifred.

He is survived by his wife, Darlene, of the home; two sons, Roger Wann and wife Carol of Dumas and Justin Wann and wife Joanna of Amarillo; six grandchildren Holli and husband Jake Hodges, Ashley and husband Ryan Higley, Austin and wife Andrea Wann, Riley, Lane and Casey; and three great-grandchildren, Taylor, Blake and Nellie.

The family suggests memorials to the Carl Johnson Scholarship Fund Boy Scouts Troop 89.
