Anthony Louis Paschel – December 19, 2016

paschel-obit-picAnthony Louis Paschel, 86, of Hereford, died Monday, Dec. 19, 2016.

Rosary will be said at 7:00 pm, Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2016, in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Vega.  Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 22, 2016, in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Fr. Mieczyslaw Przepiora officiating.  Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery at Vega.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Anthony was born Nov. 7, 1930, in Lawrence, KS. to Fred and Margaret Paschel and moved to Hereford around 1942.  He married Katherine Brorman on August 8, 1951.  Anthony served in the Army in Korea in 1952.

He had farmed near Vega since 1942.  He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Vega.

Anthony loved his family, church, country and community.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Margaret Paschel; his stepmother, Clara Paschel; his sister, Gerry Fangman; and a grandson, Miles Paschel.

Survivors include his wife, Katherine Paschel; his children,  Margaret and Albert Schoenenberger of Hereford, Barbara Black of Plano, Richard and Arlene Paschel of Chickasha, OK., Ralph and Grace Paschel of Hereford, Rita and Bryce Garrett of Dalhart, Janet and Darryl Flusche of Canyon and Louis and Brenda Paschel of Hereford; twenty grandchildren, Karl, Ryan, Brent, Sara, Karen, Denise, Nicholas, Jaclyn, Jonathan, Nathan, Daniel, Keela, DeAnn, Brandee, Wendy, Kyle, Tamara, Branden, Mikayla and Keaton; fifteen great-grandchildren, Tyler, Austin, Jace, Sage, Delilah, Cowan, Jacee, Monty, Lucas, Emily, Zoe, Riley, Garrett, Hannah and Sarah; a brother, Raymond Paschel of Knoxville, TN.; and a sister, Mary Acker of Corpus Christi.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Vega Cemetery Fund, EMT of Vega, or BSA Hospice of the Southwest, 5211 SW 9th, Suite, 100, Amarillo, TX 79106.
