Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday in Jubilee Apostolic Church. Burial will be in     Llano Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Billy was born September 21, 1944, to G.T. (Bud) Williams and Aline Williams in Dalhart, Texas.  He grew up in Masterson and Dumas, Texas, graduating from Dumas High School in 1964.  He was a barber for many years and later worked in the printing field.

Billy was a member of Jubilee Apolostolic Church. His life was guided by his deep Christian faith. He loved attending Camp Meetings & singles conferences. He was a life-long Dallas Cowboys fan, liked to garden, and had recently re-discovered his joy in drawing cartoons. He attended Jan Warner Adult Daycare regularly and enjoyed playing pool and visiting with the staff and residents. The family thanks Jan Warner and the PACE program for the excellent medical and other care given to Billy. The family wishes to thank the wonderful and caring staff and physicians at Amarillo Nephrology and the Amarillo High Plains Dialysis Center.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents, Bud and Aline Williams, and Royce Williams, brother. He is survived by his sister Faye (Beth) McClung and brother-in-law Raymond (Butch) McClung; two nieces, Rhonda McClung and Diana McClung, both of Amarillo; great-niece, Rachael McClung and her children, Roy and Aubrey Short, also of Amarillo; his sister-in-law, Sue Williams of Lubbock, nephews Tommy Archer and family of Arco, Idaho; Brad Williams and family of Granite Shoals, Texas; and David Williams and family of Lubbock, Texas. This family was very close to Billy and will miss him terribly.  Special thanks to J. R. Romero, who was like a brother to Billy for many years, and to his friend, Chris Peters of Moore, Oklahoma.

In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family requests donations be made to the United Way of Amarillo for Jan Warner Adult Daycare Center.

  1. So sorry for your loss. He will greatly be missed. I loved to see all the wonderful drawings he would bring me to see at Jan werner. I have one that hangs in my office that is very special to me. I am going to miss his crazy laugh and stories he would tell me all the times. I know he is in a better place but wished he could have stayed here alittle longer. Your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
