Clawson Obit PhotoGary W. Clawson, 69, of Fritch died Thursday, March 5, 2015.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, March 9, 2015, in McLean Cemetery with Eddie Sam Maxwell officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Gary was born Sept. 15, 1945, in McLean to Doug and Louise Clawson. He married Jackie Justice.
He worked in the oil and gas industry as a pipeline inspector. He was a veteran of the Navy.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jackie, in 2009; his parents; and a sister, Beverly June McLemore.
Survivors include three sons, John Neeley and wife Marilyn of Wellington, and Gary Daniell and Michael Clawson, both of Farmington, N.M.; three daughters, Candy Clawson of Bloomfield, N.M., Teresa McCollum and husband Danny of Fritch and Linda Watson and husband Keith of Dumas; his lifelong friend, Ricky Smith; a brother-in-law, Buck McLemore; numerous nieces and nephews including, Misty Siniard and husband Tim and Patrick McLemore and wife Sammi; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

  1. Gary Kit Clawson, the world famous pipeline trail blazer, my dear friend Kathie and I will miss you dearly. You are a true friend whom I am proud to have known and worked with. We had fun on the first project, more on the second and even more on the last, but I wished we could have had one together, I will miss you so much my friend, hope to see you on the ROW again someday.

  2. Gary I am so sorry about not being there with you. But I know you understand. So many wonderful memories running through my mind. What a smile is on my face!!
    We were lucky to have had family vacations together as we grew.
    You will be missed, but know what a reunion must be going on with so many going before you. Give hugs all around from me. Save a place at God’s table for when I get there.

  4. To the Family of Gary W. Clawson. I am very sorry to hear about the loss of your loved one, Gary. May the God of comfort heal your heart. The passing of someone you love can be a very hard thing to deal with. I hope you can find comfort in the promise of the resurrection mentioned in the Bible at 1 Corinthians 15:21 & 22.   5. I still remember all the good time Gary, Paul and I had running around in McLean. A great guy to have know, but regret not keeping in touch. God Bless Gary and his family.
