J.C. Miller – May 20, 2017

J.C. Miller, 96, of Amarillo, died Saturday, May 20, 2017.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at the Hansford Cemetery with Rev. Scott Curry, Pastor at the First Baptist Church in Gruver, officiating.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
J.C. was born on January 24, 1921 in Hansford County to Joe and Mamie Miller.  He served in the U.S. Army Air Corp during WWII. He had worked as a quality inspector at Pantex for over 38 years.  He was a 50 year member of the Adobe Walls Masonic Lodge # 1355 in Borger.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Beth Miller in 2014.
He is survived by two sons, Ed Miller and David Miller, both of Amarillo; a brother, Fred Miller of Gruver; three sisters, Lucille Harvey of Spearman, Opal Wallin of Gruver, Carolyn Bryant of Longview; two grandchildren, D’Aun Davis and Eddie Miller; and three great grandchildren, Jasper, Jacob, and Joshua.
The family suggests memorials be sent to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 50433, Amarillo, Texas  79159.
Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at the funeral home.
