Lisa Lynn Cross – October 14, 2016

cross-obit-picLisa Lynn Cross, 51, of Dumas, died Friday, October 14, 2016.

Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 22, 2016, at Bible Baptist Church with Donnie Ives officiating.  Private burial will be at Northlawn Memorial Gardens.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors of Dumas, 500 N. Maddox Ave.

Lisa was born on September 16, 1965 in Amarillo to Richard and Barbara Cross.  She graduated from Dumas High School  in 1984.  She was employed at 287 Roadhouse restaurant.  She attended Temple Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, I.V. Morris and Lorene Morris, Fain Cross and Pauline Cross.

She is survived by her daughter, Kandice Barnes and husband George; parents, Richard and Barbara Cross; a brother, Randy Cross and wife Stephanie; two granddaughters, Tegan and Payge; two nieces, Ansley and Addison; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The family will be at 402 Cherry and suggests memorials be sent to a favorite charity.

  1. I still am having trouble believing she is gone .
    I’ve know Lisa for many years but it was this past year when we became close . She was such a sweet ,caring ,fun person to be around . We had a lot of good times . Lots of talks and laughs , even cries .
    I miss her friendship so much . I look forward to the day I can hug her neck again.

  4. I like thinking of times when at family gatherings and I was always so shy.. if Lisa was there she’d make point of making sure to talk to me and make me smile.. such a wonderful person who is now brightest angel shining down on us.. Prayers and lots of love to my Morris and Cross family

  7. Lisa had the kindest heart I knew. She was selfless, sweet, understanding, gentle, and never complained about her problems. I will miss her sweet smile, and gentle words, her grace, and sense of humor. Most of all I will miss her presence, she was the best friend a person could ask for…thank you father God for sharing her with me the short time you did! I will cherish her forever!

  8. I met Lisa when Rex and I moved to Dumas in 1988 and I went to work at WalMart. Lisa and I became friends which was easy to do as she had a great personality and was so nice. I am very sorry for your loss. Another Angel in heaven to watch over all of us. Love and miss you Lisa. God Bless
