Mark Kelly Kendall – April 15, 2017

Mark Kelly Kendall, 62, of Amarillo, died Saturday, April 15, 2017.
Memorial services will be at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, April 22, 2017, in Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel with VA Chaplain Rory Murphy officiating.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Mark was born May 31, 1954, in Lamesa to Norman and JoAnn Kendall.  Mark attended school in Brownfield.  After his senior year, he joined the Air Force.
Mark was dedicated to serving others as a peer support specialist at Amarillo VAMC and as a staff member at Men’s ARC.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his girlfriend, Christy Deaver; a daughter, Patricia Ann Speakman of Wilmington, Delaware; a sister, Norma Kay Courtney of Pelham, Alabama; a brother, Thomas Martin Kendall of Kentucky; his mother, JoAnn of Pelham; a special niece, “Baby Girl” Melissa Anne of Indiana; a grandson, David; and a niece, Amanda of Wisconsin.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be to Men’s ARC, 412 SE 16th, Amarillo, TX 79101.

  1. You had a great spirit and energy. You did so many wonderful things to help others and we miss you greatly. Rest in peace and know your life mattered. Without you many good things would not have happened. You were a fantastic advocate for others. I can’t say enough good things about Mark Kendall. You provided a guiding light to many, many people.

  2. I loved Mark. Got to meet him when serving with District. He was a kind and funny man. He will be missed!
