Aaron Thomas Snyder, age 48, of Amarillo, Texas went home to be with Jesus after a long, hard fought battle with depression on Thursday, October 23, 2025.
Visitation will be held Monday, October 27, 2025 from 6-7pm at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Hillside Christian Church West Campus Chapel in Amarillo with Greg Corona officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers, 2800 Paramount Blvd, Amarillo, TX.
Aaron was born on October 1, 1977, in Amarillo, TX to Dennis and Carolyn Snyder. He was involved in Boy Scouts and achieved the high honor of Eagle Scout on October 8, 1995. He graduated from Tascosa High School in 1996. Aaron then completed the IBEW Electrical 4-year Apprentice Program to become one of the best electricians. From there, he became an electrician at Pantex, where he worked for 25 years.
Aaron met the love of his life, Emily Nickles, on April 27, 1997. They were married on August 7, 1999 at Lake Tanglewood Community Church.
Aaron had many passions that included helping out friends and family with electrical jobs (which he enjoyed and was really good at), sharpening knives and scissors in his side business SEAX, running wire, bending pipe, woodworking, and completing projects in his shop. He also loved cooking on his smoker and preparing steaks for everyone. Aaron was an avid Ford Bronco lover and always enjoyed working on his Broncos, driving his Broncos, and collecting Bronco memorabilia.
Aaron was preceded in death by his grandparents on both sides of his family, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He is survived by his wife Emily of 26 years; his two children; Kaden and Ella Snyder; his parents Dennis and Carolyn Snyder, brother Nick Snyder (and wife Karalee), Mother and Father-in-law Alan and Nancy Nickles; sister-in-law Jaime Bentley (and husband Cory), sister-in-law Cindy Nickles of Wisconsin; his nieces and nephews Brandon Bentley (and wife Kynleigh) of Odessa, Brooklyn Amason (and husband Garrett) of Amarillo; Eli Snyder, Alyse Snyder, and Kaia Snyder all of Amarillo; and his new great-nephew, Hudson Marc Bentley of Odessa.
