Adolfo was born on December 24, 1927, in Amarillo to Juan and Manuela Escoto. He was married to his beloved wife, Micaela, for over 57 years. He proudly served in the United States Air Force during World War II and attained the rank of Corporal. He worked for the Santa Fe Railroad for 40 years and lived in retirement for 35 years more.

As a man of faith, he was a follower of Jesus Christ, Our Lord. Adolfo lived by the fruits of the Spirit. Kindness, gentleness, and patience were his great strengths. He volunteered and served in his church, Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church

Rarely sitting still, he always had a project going on. He loved spending time with friends and family, dancing with his wife, listening to music, and watching sports. He had an extraordinary memory for classic cars and a soft spot for his pets.

He had a quiet and unassuming way but was very strong-willed and always ready for a good laugh. Interested in the lives of others and wanting to learn about the latest things, we would hear him say, “Tell me something new.” He was loved and will be missed.

Preceding him in death are his parents, two sisters, three brothers, a son, Ruben Escoto; stepson, Gabriel Chavez and stepdaughter, Geneva Cross.

Survivors include his wife, daughters: Gloria Castillo, Mariana Saldana, Ramona Delgado (Joe), and Teresa Harper (Lynn), sons: Juan Escoto (Mary) and Gabriel Escoto, stepdaughters: Benita Guerrero, Angelina Myers, Martha Collins (Russell), stepsons: Will (Peggy) and Jim (Yolanda) Chavez.
