Alice Christine Barlow

Alice Christine Barlow passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 19, 2026, in Amarillo, Texas. Christine was 93 years old.

Funeral services will be held at Terrace Park Funeral Home & Cemetery, 801 NW 108th St, Kansas City, MO 64155 on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.

Christine was born on December 19, 1932, in Holden, Missouri, to Bennie and Stella Scearce. She was the youngest of 5 children, Doris, Richard, Violet and George.

Christine lived in different areas of Missouri growing up and briefly lived in Tulsa, OK, which she loved dearly. She made her way back to Missouri where she graduated from high school in Butler Missouri. She eventually met the love of her life, John Barlow and they married on August 21, 1954, and settled in Kansas City, Missouri.

They had 6 children Dennis, John, Jim, Tammy, Angela and Phillip; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great- grandchildren

Christine lived a life rooted in faith, family and devotion to others.

A devout Christian, she found great joy in her church community and especially loved singing in the church choir, where her voice and spirit touched many. For around 10 years she was the choir librarian and enjoyed doing that.

Christine is preceded in death by her parents, all her siblings, her husband John, her grandson Joseph Robert and her granddaughter Jamie Christine.

Christine is survived by her son Dennis and his wife Anna, son John and his wife Judy, son Jim and his wife Lori, Daughter Tammy and her husband Jim, Daughter Angela and her husband Dave, her son Phillip and many grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.
