Alice Thomas Skinner, born July 26, 1933, in Clovis, New Mexico, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2025.
No services are scheduled. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.
Alice attended Ozark Bible College, where she met Forrest. Together they were a perfect team—Alice was the brains and Forrest the brawn, with Alice often serving as the writer behind his sermons. They married on August 25, 1953, and began their life together in Tulsa, Oklahoma, before settling in Amarillo.
Alice worked as an accountant and shared her musical talents as a church pianist and organist for most of her life. Her passion for music was evident in every note she played, and she considered it her ministry to bring joy and worship through song.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest, parents, Herbert and Ida Thomas, and by her nephew, Dewight Harp. Alice is survived by her daughter, Laurie Allen, and son-in-law, Matthew Allen; sister-in-law, Jannette Harp; niece, Denise Harp; nephew, Dewayne Harp and his wife, Melanie; and great-nephews Michael, Eric, and Clayton, along with Clayton’s wife, Rachelle.
Alice loved knitting, reading, and never met a crossword puzzle she couldn’t conquer. Her life was marked by faith, family, and music—a legacy that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
