Alton Keith Ritter, 92, of Amarillo, TX died on April 11, 2024 at home.

Graveside service will be 10:30 AM, Monday, April 15,2024 at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors. 

Keith Ritter lived 92 years. He lived a long life filled with family, service, and leadership. A graduate of Amarillo High School, he then proudly served in the United States Army. Following his service, he went on to obtain a Civil Engineering degree from Texas A&M University. He worked for Crowe-Gulde Pre Stressed Concrete for many years before going into the commercial building business as an owner of The Ritter Company. He was a longtime member of the AMBUCS Amarillo Chapter also serving as past president and past president of the Association of General Contractors, Panhandle of Texas Chapter (AGC). He served as president of AMBUCS and was also a former member of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Keith was a member of Hillside Christian Church and St. Paul United Methodist and could be found reading the bible at home.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jess and Ayme; brothers, Danny, George, and Allen; his sisters, Margaret Brownfield, and Billie McCoy; first wife, Elmer Lee Ritter; second wife, Carole Stephenson; and daughter, Susan Brickey.

Keith is survived by sons, Mark Ritter of Austin, TX, Steve Ritter of Amarillo, TX, and Cary Ritter of Amarillo, TX; daughter, Karen Craghead of Amarillo, TX; nine grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
