In Loving Memory of Our Angelica,
Angelica Rebecca Russell went home to be with Jesus on October 19, 2026 leaving behind a family who loves her and will miss her more than words could express.
Angelica’s life was a true testament of courage.
Born with spina bifida, she faced challenges from the very beginning. Doctors never expected her to live a long life, but Angelica had a story of her own to write.
She lived for 40 years, meeting life with a determination that defied expectations. She fought courageously until the very end, reminding those around her that a person’s worth is not measured by what their body can or cannot do, but by the love they give and the lives they touch.
She was a daughter, a sister, an aunt, a granddaughter, and a friend. Her life was meaningful simply because she was here, and the world was better for having her in it.
If you knew Angelica, you knew she had a stubborn side. She had a mind of her own and wasn’t one to give up easily. But beyond that stubborn spirit was a heart that cared deeply for people and a special love for animals. For years, she owned a tanning salon, where she got to know people, listen to their stories, share in their lives, and brighten their days. During her time spent at the dialysis center she made friends with both patients and staff alike. She had a way of making meaningful relationships wherever she went.
Angelica also had a special love for her dog, Duncan, who brought her companionship and joy. More than anything, she cherished being surrounded by the people she loved. She found joy in the things that mattered most to her, including Christian music and concerts. Her faith was a beautiful part of who she was, and it brings comfort to know she is now in the presence of the Lord she loved.
Though our hearts are broken by her passing, we are grateful for the 40 years we were blessed to have her. We will remember her stubborn spirit, her love for animals, the connections she made with others, and the faith that carried her through life. We will miss her presence more than words can express, but we find comfort in knowing she is no longer bound by the struggles of this world.
She is now resting in the arms of Jesus, whole and free, where there is no more pain, no more suffering, and no more tears.
What a blessing it is that we got 40 years with Angelica when the world was told to expect only a few. Her life was a gift, and the fighting spirit that carried her through it will live on in all of us who loved her.
So to Angelica we say we love you, we miss you, and we look forward to the day we get to see you again.
Until then, keep singing and dancing with the angels.
