It is with heavy hearts and deep love that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Angeline Kincaid Garner who went home to be with the Lord on October 16th, 2025, at the age of 92. Angeline was the heart of our family and dubbed herself “Queen” many years ago and it stuck! She was a sweet, loving and wonderful woman whose kindness, warmth and gentle spirit touched everyone she met. She dedicated her life to her family and found joy in making memories with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Known for her gracious hospitality, Angeline was an avid tea party host, delighting her grandchildren, and friends with her elegant table settings, fine china and warm conversations that always made everyone feel cherished. A deep woman of faith, she lived each day with grace, gratitude, and devotion to her Savior. She modeled these values as an example to her children and grandchildren.
A celebration of her life will be held on October 24th, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Trinity Baptist Church followed by a graveside service at Llano Cemetery.
Angeline Kincaid Wilson Garner born May 29th, 1933, to Irene Alberta Morris Wilson and Fred Owen Wilson in Sherman, Tx. Her family moved to Baton Rouge, Louisiana when she was four. Angeline was an only child for 15 years until her sister Elizabeth was born. Angeline graduated from Louisiana State University in 1955 and returned to Texas where she taught in Dallas for five years. Angeline was a 3rd generation teacher.
In 1956 she married her childhood playmate, Arthur Edmund Garner. She continued to teach while Arthur attended dental school and in 1960, they moved to Arthur’s hometown of Amarillo to open his dental practice. Angeline taught at Coronado Elementary until the arrival of Beth, then David, Kathryn and Keith. While being a stay-at-home mom, she taught Sunday school and Good News Clubs through Child Evangelism Fellowship. When Beth left for college, Angeline began teaching at San Jacinto Christian Academy until retiring after 20 years. Angeline loved children. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the light of her life after Jesus.
Angeline was preceded in death by her parents, husband Arthur and grandson Jake.
She is survived by her children, Beth Kettenring (Tim), David Garner (Lori), Kathryn Roush (Rowdy) and Keith (Karen), She is also survived by her sister Elizabeth Bellamy (Matt), sisters in law Barbara Garner and Nancy Garner. She leaves behind 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
