Annette "Ann" Reagen

November 6, 1937 — May 2, 2025

Annette “Ann” Reagen went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 2nd, 2025. She was 87.

Funeral service will be at 12:30 PM, Thursday, May 8, 2025 at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.

Ann was born on November 6, 1937, in Atoka, OK, to Mike and Lilly Coben. She was 1 of 6 children. She was very intelligent and had a life-long love of learning which allowed her to skip two grades in school. She attended high school in Ruidoso, NM, and graduated at the age of 16. She then worked as the secretary at the high school. While living in Ruidoso, she met and quickly fell in love with Darwin Reagen, whom she married on March 12th, 1955.

Darwin joined the Sea Bees branch of the U.S. Navy, and they moved soon after to Port Hueneme, California. While living in California, they had 3 children: Missy, Deanna and Mike. After leaving the service, they moved to Amarillo, TX, and lived there for over 30 years. While in Amarillo, they had a fourth child, Andy. They started a construction business, and Ann was the self-taught bookkeeper for the business, all while raising 4 children and running a stable for others to board their horses.

After their children were grown, their construction business took them to multiple cities, including Las Vegas, NV, Collinsville, TX and Florida. After closing the construction business, they retired to Ft. Worth for 3 years before finally returning to Amarillo. Ann had a very quiet but visible faith. She had a kind heart towards others and a wicked sense of humor. She was a life-long reader and loved to garden.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Darwin Reagen, her son Mike Reagen, her daughter Deanna Ross, her son-in-law David Boykin, her parents Mike and Lilly Coben, her sister Darlene Cooke and her brothers, Bill Coben and Louis Coben.

She is survived by her sister, Maxine Standridge, her daughter Missy Boykin of Cheyenne, OK, her daughter Andy Orr and husband Ricky of Amarillo, TX, her son-in-law Steve Ross of Ft. Worth, her granddaughter Kara Bottom and husband Brad, her granddaughter Jodi Yoakum and husband Will, her grandson Matt Ross and wife Megan, her granddaughter Niki Ross, her grandson Jason Orr and wife Britni, her grandson Reagan Orr and wife Bailey; 11 great grandchildren and multiple nieces and nephews.

She will be forever missed, but we take great comfort in knowing she is in the arms of her Father in Heaven.
