Baldemar "Junior" Garza Jr.

Baldemar “Junior” Garza, 65, of Perryton, TX died Saturday, May 17, 2025.

Rosary will be said at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, May 22, 2025, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd. in Amarillo. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 23, 2025, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery.

Junior was born October 19, 1959, to Baldemar and Susanna Garza in San Benito, TX, where he graduated from Los Fresnos High School. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Junior worked in the oil industry all of life and had been an oil pumper. He always loved working and had said he would never retire!

When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed golfing, enjoying a cold beer, gardening, good food, dancing to Tejano music, but more than anything, he enjoyed his grandkids! Junior was the family patriarch, taking care of all of his family.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Noelda Galvan in 2011; and his dad, Baldemar Garza, in 2013.

Survivors include his mom, Susanna Garza; daughters, Yvette Garza Rendon and husband Ramee, and Norma Garza Guiterrez and husband Adam; son, Baldemar Garza III; sister, Belinda Perez and husband Manuel; brothers, Homer Garza and wife Lisa, and Gilbert Garza and wife Lisa; his grandchildren, Julyon Hermosillo, Jayden Rendon, Aubrie Garza, Alexzander Jabalera, Aiden Jabalera, and Amadeus Guiterrez; and his former spouse and mother of his children, Felicitas Mary Garza, who remained his close friend.
