Barabara Ann Lyle, 87, of Kerrville, passed away on August 4, 2026. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, August 7, 2026 at the Dumas Cemetery with Eddie Tubbs officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. prior to the service. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors of Dumas, 500 N. Maddox.
Barbara was born on August 28, 1938 in Clarendon to Leonard Clyde Lyle and Catherine Mae Crawford. She would have been 88 at the end of this month. She had lived a long life and because of all the people who loved her and her sweet nature, she was cared for, and had fun experiences. She believed in God and she added joy to her community.
We are all richer for having known her and we hope she gets a Coke everyday in heaven and that the people waiting there for her will understand every word and thought she has.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Betty Barber.
She is survived by a sister, Karen Rector and husband Dick of Kerrville; a brother, Len Lyle and wife Clara of Kerrville; three nieces, Wendy Barber and wife Tammy Patterson of Blanco, Tx., Katie Sargent of Lake Jackson, Tx., Cynthia Kelly and husband Josh of San Francisco, Ca.; three nephews, Mike Rector of Winter Park, Co., Matthew Rector and wife Jackie of Kingswood, Tx., Richard Lyle and wife Alma of Springfield, Ar.; and several great nieces and great nephews; and special cousin Joy Fern Robertson and husband Robbie.
The family suggest in lieu of flowers, memorials be sent to the Special Olympics.
