Betty Mae Fox

Betty Mae Fox, 79, of Amarillo, TX passed away April 5, 2026.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM, Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount. Interment will follow in Claude Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.

Betty was born November 17, 1946 in Canadian, TX to William and Frances (Cotner) Dunn. She graduated from Claude High School in 1965. She married Robert (Gene) Fox on November 18, 1965. Betty was a homemaker who enjoyed cross-stitching and was a fiercely independent woman despite her physical disability. Together they had 3 children, 5 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents; and her brother William Dunn.

Survivors include daughter, Tammy Alvarez, and husband Ed, of Roswell, NM; sons, Sean Fox, and wife Brandy, of Claude, TX, and Brian Fox and wife Rhonda, of Lake Charles, TX; grandchildren, Brett, Kelly, Kayla, Bethany, Ashley, Dannyjo, Veronica, and Atalaya; and great-grandchildren, Jonah, Avacyn, Zeke, Hunter, Willow, William, and Alexander.
