Bill Green

Walter Lee “Bill” Green, 97, of Amarillo, TX died Saturday, August 10, 2024.

The memorial service will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 24, 2024, at Bolton St. Baptist Church. Burial was private. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Bill was born December 13, 1926, in Quinlan, TX to Albert Lee and Stella Green.

He worked for W.M. Cameron Co. for thirty-seven years as a salesman and mowed lawns until he was 95.

In 1952, he married his sweetheart, Monnie L. Wunneburger. They had two children, Albert Lee and Joan Elaine.

Bill loved to hunt, fish and watch football. In 1962, he got saved. He was a faithful member of Bolton St. Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Joan Doster; his parents; three sisters; and two brothers.

He is survived by his wife, Monnie Green; son, Albert Lee Green and wife Karen; his five grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
