Billie Jean Hicks, 73, of Rice, TX passed away September 21, 2026.

Family will receive friends from 6-7:00 PM, Friday, September 25, 2026 at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, 2800 Paramount. Graveside service will be at 1:00 PM, Saturday, September 26, 2026 at Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.

Billie was born March 28, 1953 in Amarillo, TX to Willie and Bobbie Ford. She grew up in Amarillo and volunteered with the SPCA. Billie was a homemaker and loved raising her cows and chickens, gardening, and take care of her flowers. She married Paul Hicks on July 4, 1975 in Skellytown, TX.

Billie is survived by her husband, Paul Hicks of Rice, TX; children, Billy Don Hicks and wife Ruby of Rice, TX, Mark Hicks of Rice, TX, Trevor Hicks of Rice, TX and Samantha Hicks of Sioux City, IA; siblings, Earl Ford and wife Prissy of Bowie, TX, and Ruth Stevenson and husband Haney of Lusk, WY; grandchildren, Jayleen, Jo, Jazzy, Karley, Shelby, and Aaron; and great-granddaughter, Ava.
