Bobby Doyce Longbine, of Amarillo, TX passed away March 25, 2026.
Bobby was born June 16, 1952 in Memphis, TX to Doyce and Margaret Longbine. He graduated from Tascosa High School in 1970 then Amarillo College in 1983
Bobby married the love of his life, Gloria Ann Contreras on February 5, 1972. The two met on a blind date. He worked for International Paper, Canyon Drive Lumber, then Pride Home Center (September 24, 1992 to December 31, 2021. He was a member of Trinity Fellowship Church. Bobby loved cooking, traveling, shopping for a good grocery store deal, FOX News, the Dallas Cowboys (and later the Chiefs too), but most of all family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Doyce and Margaret Longbine.
Bobby is survived by his sister, Lena Carol Stansbury of Grand Prairie, TX; wife, Gloria Longbine; children, Jennifer Longbine and James Longbine and wife, Tiffany; grandchildren, Marissa Ballew and wife Saharra, Hanna Longbine, Kinslee Owen, and Kreed Longbine; and great-grandchildren, Bennett Madrid and Kamryn Ballew, all of Amarillo, TX.
Bobby didn’t want a funeral but rather a gathering of family and friends. Please join us for a graveside service at Llano East Cemetery at 10:30 AM, Saturday, March 28, 2026 and a lunch will follow at X-Steakhouse at noon. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.
