It is with great sadness that we announce Master Sergeant Candy Sue Malley, age 57, of Henderson, NV, passed away on March 22, 2026, after an unfortunate accident. She was lovingly surrounded by her family until the very end.
Candy had a heart of gold and was an incredibly loving and devoted mother, wife, daughter, and sister. She served her country honorably, for more than 20 years, while raising a family. Candy will be missed dearly, though we know, she will live on, in all of us.
Candy was born on December 7, 1968, to Ernest and Gloria Garcia in Amarillo, Texas. After graduating from Caprock High School in 1987, she enlisted in the United States Air Force. Candy served from 1990 to 2010 and retired as the NCOIC, Operational Health Flight, 28th Medical Operations Group. She also deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. She also earned a master’s degree in public health.
Candy met her loving husband, Chief Master Sergeant Ken Malley (retired) at Royal Air Force Base, United Kingdom, on February 1, 1991, when Operation Desert Shield/Storm began. Candy and Ken were married on April 10, 1993, and went on to have three beautiful children: Gabriella, Alexis, and Joshua Malley.
After retiring in 2010, Candy devoted her time to her children, family, friends, and beloved pets, Maverick and Jade. She loved to cook, bake, and try new recipes. She was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed playing games with family and friends. Candy also delighted in decorating her home with unique collections that she found during her many travels around the world.
Candy was predeceased by her maternal grandfather, Gilbert Salazar; her maternal grandmother, Nestora Salazar; her paternal grandfather, Esmael (Ed) Garcia; her paternal grandmother, Lillian Garcia; and her mother-in-law, Mary Malley.
Candy will be greatly missed by her husband, Ken Malley; her children, Gabriella, Alexis, and Joshua Malley; her parents, Ernest and Gloria Garcia; her siblings and family members, Cindy Garcia, Connie Guerra, Alison Garcia, Nichol Garcia, Elaine Garcia, and Gypsy Carrillo; six nephews; and eight nieces, nine great nephews, four great nieces.
