Cason Ryne Sherrill

Feb 2, 2014 — Sep 7, 2026

This precious soul, Cason Ryne Sherrill, went to be with Jesus on September 7, 2026. He entered this world February 2, 2014 on a wing and a prayer, and managed to live an extraordinary life full of adventure and excitement, bringing joy and blessings to all those who surrounded him.

Services will be held Thursday September 17, 2026 at 4:30 p.m. at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, 2800 Paramount.

Despite all of his limitations, he persevered and made the most of everything in his life. His 12 years were spent growing, exploring, learning, and achieving goals beyond measure. Smart as a whip, he surprised those around him daily. He was the master of the remote and could work a smart tv like no other. Just when you thought “surely it wasn’t Cason who deleted all the apps or ordered a movie”, the trail led back to him. He was his mom’s pride and joy, and she was his. The bond they had was one of unmeasurable love and adoration. Everything Linda did revolved around Cason’s needs and wants, never missing a beat. God always says he will never give you more than you can handle, and he kept his promise, providing her with needed strength and patience. Every time a new challenge arose, she was there to make sure it was met and exceeded above and beyond. He was the light of her life.

Cason was preceded in death by his Papa Jim Sherrill, Cousin Jeremy Sherrill, and Aunt Stephanie Sherrill.

Cason is survived by his Mom Linda Sherrill, Grandmother Carrie Baltazar, Sisters Brooklyn Lightfoot and Hadley Sherrill, Brothers Hagen Sherrill and Camron Sherrill-Jordan (Nicole), Aunt Megan Cahill (Robert), Uncles Justin Clement and Lane Jones, Uncle Eric Sherrill (Kristi), Aunt Michelle Sherrill (Stacy Griffin), Cousins Briar Valdez, Sebastian Valdez-Baez, Beckett Miller, Belle and Brogan Cahill, Katie, Olive, Bruce and Brayden Saunders, Jake Sherrill, Hayley Becker, Cameron Samperi and his Niece and Nephew Violet and Anthony Sherrill-Jordan.

And a special thanks to all of the wonderful teachers who have been with him over the years from Ridgecrest, Western Plateau, Bonham, and all of the therapists at the turn center, his doctors, and his many friends. Also, a special thanks to the BSA team of doctors, nurses, and chaplain who were there to comfort us in his final moments.

In Lieu of flowers the family requests all donations be given to the Turn Center.
