Sue Terry

Cecelia Sue Terry, 82, of Amarillo, TX passed away on Friday, September 12, 2025.

Graveside service will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 6:00-7:00 PM, Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, 2800 Paramount. Arrangements by Boxwell Brothers.

Sue was born on March 21, 1943 in Hendersonville, NC to Harvey and Mayo Moffitt.

She graduated from Palo Duro High School in 1961.

Sue found a love for the ages when she met Roy Terry Jr. when she was 15 years old. Their love was one you only see in movies and hope for in your prayers. She loved spending time with family, taking trips to Las Vegas, talks with her best friend of 67 years, Myrtle Thorpe, going shopping and watching Hallmark Movies. Sue was one of the most elegant, generous and caring people to ever cross paths with.

Sue is preceded in death by the love of her life, Roy Terry Jr., grandson, Teague Lusk, her parents Harvey and Mayo, her brothers Spauldin and Jim, sisters Wanda and Judy.

She is survived by her two daughters, Rebecca Lawrence and husband Terry, and Kim Robertson; siblings Eloise Farias of TN , Carol Moffitt of NC, Carolyn McCoy of NC, Debbie of NC; grandchildren Shantel Harris and husband Monnie, Lexie Davis and wife Kyndal; great grandchildren Kloey, Ashton, Austin, Paisley, Truitt, Breckham, Jettie and Claira; great great grandchildren Dante, Kian, Alice and Anastasia.
