Charlene Foley Wallace

Charlene Foley Wallace went to be with her heavenly father and her beloved husband on May 23, 2026.

Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, May 28, 2026 in the Robison Chapel of the Plains at First Christian Church, 3001 Wolflin Ave, Amarillo, Texas 79109. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Charlene was born on July 27, to Lillian and Lewis Foley in Sharon Springs, Kansas. She attended grade school in Sharon Springs, high school in Fort Collins, Colorado and earned a bachelor’s degree in Microbiology from Colorado A&M now known as Colorado State University. She was a diagnostic microbiologist in the Diagnostic Laboratory at CSU and taught laboratory diagnostic microbiology to senior Veterinary students.

Charlene married the love of her life, Dr. William S. Wallace, II on May 23, 1965. They were married for 50 years at the time of his death. She was active in her church, volunteered in the church office, the Prayer Chawl ministry, CWF, several clubs, Red Hats, Gold’s Gym, Girlstown, Boy’s Ranch as well as working closely with her husband in his various business ventures.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

She is survived by her close friends Carl Rice, Chris Bloxsom, Cheryl Rhoderick, Carol Tierman, Sandra and Dave Sargus, Minnie Bennett, Elaine Wieke, and others.

Charlene and Bill supported numerous local charities. Suggested memorials are First Christian Church, 3001 Wolflin Ave, Amarillo, Texas 79109; Polk Street Methodist Church Choir, 1401 S. Polk St, Amarillo, Texas 79101; or Animal Rescue Shelter, 12500 Farm 1541, Amarillo, Texas 79118-3340.
