Charlet Ana Koonce, 78, of Amarillo, Texas passed away on October 8, 2025

Celebration of Life will be held October 22, 2025, at Resplendent Garden 11701 Truman Street Amarillo, Texas at 1:00 pm. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.

Charlet was born on November 12,1946, in Amarillo to Virgil Andrew Arney and Anna Mae Arney. She married Lendon Mack Koonce, September 6, 1967. She had two daughters, 2 Grandsons and two twin great grandsons. She was a wife, mother and grandmother and homemaker.

Charlet was known for her kindness and giving heart. She loved gardening, cooking, and especially working in her flower beds. She enjoyed reading, working puzzles, solving crossword puzzles, and playing marbles with friends. She deeply cherished her family, her mini-Dachshund Pipper and many friends and neighbors.

She is survived by two daughters, Laura Yarber and Lisa Koonce-Armbruster both of Amarillo. Two grandsons Rowdy and Nataley Born and Great Grandsons Ellis Born & Brigg Born of Houston, Texas and grandson Tomas Armbruster of Amarillo. Sister Janet Post of Amarillo, nephew Nick Post of Amarillo and two grand dogs Rosanne & Gypsy Yarber.

She was preceded in death by her father Virgel Arney in 1999. Mother Anna Mae Arney in 2005, two sisters Nora Walton in 1995 of Amarillo, Wanda Wigman of Mountain View Arkansas in 2008, brother Virgil Andrew Arney Jr. of Oregon, in 2005.
