Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 14, 2024, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Chris was born in Amarillo, TX on November 8, 1952, to Marvin A. Davis and Velma G. Pratt Davis who both preceded her in death.
Overcoming great difficulties, Chris worked tirelessly to provide for her children and eventually her grandchildren. Soon after starting as a human resources manager at the Clements Unit, Chris met a young Lieutenant, Richard Duffy. They were joined in marriage on August 6, 1994. Chris and Richard later retired from TDCJ. In retirement, Chris loved spoiling grandchildren, going on cruises, tending her flowers, and caring for her dogs, Toby and Joey, and her cat Brownie.
Chris is survived by her husband, Richard; son, Bryan Denny and his wife Joy; daughter, Alison Colyer and her husband Dardon; grandsons, Hayden, Cooper, and Blaine; sister, Nancy Rajchel; and brother, Kelly Davis and wife Brenda.
Chris was loved deeply and will be missed by many.
Flowers in honor of Chris may be sent to Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, 2800 Paramount Blvd. on Thursday, June 13, 2024, in preparation for the memorial service.
