Christine Marie Williams, 93, of Amarillo passed away on Thursday, August 14, 2025.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 18, 2025 at the Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd. with Brian Mashburn, Southwest Church of Christ Preaching Minister, officiating. Burial will be a private ceremony at Westlawn Cemetery in Borger with Les Sharp, Pastor, Faith Covenant Church of Borger. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.
Christine, along with many other names, babe, mom, Mimi, Aunt, sister-in-law and dear friend, was born on July 29th, 1932, in Ville de Saint Maur, France just outside of Paris. Due to the German occupation of France in the 1940’s, Christine and her family moved to America, specifically Borger, Texas. After graduation from Borger High in 1950, she met the love of her life and married, James Leon (Big Jim) Williams, on Jan. 21, 1951 in Sanford. Quiet and reserve but with a heart of life and love, they shared 57 happy and full-filling years together raising 5 rambunctious girls, loving and supporting all of their endeavors and blessed even more building strong bonds with their sweet and loving grands, great grands and great-great grands! Side by side they owned and operated The Roadrunner Trucking Company until they retired together in 1980, enjoying family, travel and friends!
She was preceded in death by Jim, her husband, hero and partner in life; a sweet infant daughter, Christine Denise; her loving parents Auguste and Lucienne; resilient and loving siblings, brothers Gabriel and Guy Fouasnon; and sister Micheline Dufay.
Survivors include daughters; Jacqueline Praeuner (Robert) and Judy Tucker (Marvin) of Fritch, Sharon Williams and special friend, Neal Hauser, both of Amarillo, Michelle Hicks (Jud) of Borger and Laura Baker (Scott) of Dayton, TX. Sisters-in-law Billie Ray Williams, Panhandle and Marion Williams, Lubbock. 20 grandchildren, 52 great-grands and 15 great-great grands. Special and dear to her heart, numerous nieces and nephews and sweet friends.
