Christopher Alex Casarez, 46, of Amarillo, TX passed away May 9, 2026.
Memorial service will be at 10:00 AM, Thursday, May 14, 2026 at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.
Christopher was born January 7, 1980 in Hereford, TX to Juan Casarez and Olga Quintana. He graduated from Hereford High School in 1998 then served in the United States Army in 2000 during Operation Iraqi Freedom where he was a mechanic. Christopher was only 46 years old but the impact he made on the people who loved him will last far longer than any number of years ever could. When we think about Chris, we think about strength. He was hardworking, intelligent, and strong willed in everything he did. He was the kind of man who faced life head-on. He carried responsibilities on his shoulders without complaint, and he always tried to make sure the people he loved were taken care of.
But more than anything else, Chris loved his family. His boys were truly his pride and joy. You could see it in the way he talked about them, protected them, and wanted the best for them. Everything he did was rooted in love for his family. He would do anything for the people he cared about, and that kind of love leaves a mark that never fades.
One of the things we always smile about we our “fight-cations.” Even in the middle of disagreements or stressful moments, there was still love there. Those moments became part of our story — real, imperfect, honest, and full of life. Looking back now, even those memories mean so much because they remind us how deeply we lived, laughed, and cared. Chris was also a great story teller. He had the best stories. He loved to grill, enjoyed the outdoors, and his dogs.
Today, while we grieve, we also remember. We remember the man who worked hard, loved hard, stood firm in what he believed, and gave so much of himself to the people around him. And through faith, we hold onto hope. We trust that love does not end here. We trust that the memories he gave us, the lessons he taught us, and the love he poured into his boys and his family will continue to live on every single day. Christopher may no longer walk beside us physically, but his spirit remains in the hearts of everyone who loved him. We will miss his voice, his presence, his strength, and the way he loved his family so fiercely. And we will carry him with us always. Thank you, Chris for the love, the memories, and the life you shared and created with us. Rest peacefully. Love Anna, CJ and Christian Casarez Brothers Forever.
Christopher is survived by his wife Anna Casarez; sons, Christopher C.J. Casarez and Christian Casarez all of Amarillo, TX; father, Juan Casarez of Hereford, TX; mother, Olga Casarez of Hereford, TX; and siblings, Lisa Dominguez of Dumas, TX, Sam Casarez of Dumas, TX, and Raquel Baldarez of Hereford, TX.
