Corethia “June” Adcock, 72, of Claude, Texas passed away on June 15, 2025.

Graveside services will be at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, June 19, 2025, at the Claude Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

June was born in Canyon, Texas on February 16, 1953, to Avo Loyce (Lowe) and Robert Bruce Brown.

She graduated from high school in Stratford in 1971 where she held several long-standing records in basketball, and from West Texas State University in 1978 with degrees in English and Philosophy.

She lived in Claude for over 40 years and held many jobs during that time, including Editor of the Claude News, Director of Exhibits and Displays at the Armstrong County Museum, County Librarian, and Court Coordinator. She enjoyed reading, writing, fishing, classic cars, gardening, and spending time in nature. She cheerfully and selflessly supported many charities, including local scholarship funds and orphanages abroad.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband, Rick Cluck; daughters, Dr. Janda Whitaker and husband Dean Whitaker of Claude and Shara Reardon of Fort Worth; sister, Sue Graham of Claude; brother, Howard Brown of Claude; and nieces, Bridget Carillo and Laura Brown both of Amarillo.

June will always be remembered for her unconditional love, strength of spirit, and an unending generosity. Her light touched many lives and she will be deeply missed.
