David Edward Kral

David Edward Kral, 62, of Amarillo, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2026.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, February 27, 2026, in the small chapel at First Christian Church, 3001 Wolflin Ave. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.

David was born on June 15, 1963, in Amarillo, Texas, to Dania (Price) and William "Bill" Kral. He built a career in the technology industry, working for Texas Instruments in Dallas and later Intel in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, where he also volunteered with the local Veterans of Foreign Wars post. David had a lifelong love of everything Mopar. He often told the story of watching his boys sit in the driver's seat of his Plymouth GTX, making ridiculous faces while pretending they were in one of the muscle-car movies they'd watched together. A passionate enjoyer of classic rock, he passed this love down to his sons, Adam and Daniel, who still debate whether Sammy Hagar was better than David Lee Roth. David's happiest days were spent camping and boating with his sons and his former wife, Sandra (Grove) Kral.

He was preceded in death by his father, William Kral, and niece Kendal Kral.

David is survived by his sons, Adam Kral and Daniel Kral; his former wife, Sandra Kral; his mother, Dania North; his brother, Michael Kral, wife Anah, and son Cameron; and his sister, Misti Berman, husband BJ, and children Haley Graham, Michael Jones, and Nathanael Knadle; grand-nephew Kellen Graham; special friend Teresa Almaguer, and many, many other friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donating in honor of David's life to the Watermelon Mountain Ranch Animal Center in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, or to the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
