Deborah Sue (Brummett) King, lovingly known as “Debbie”, age 68, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2025 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
A memorial service will be held on February 20, 2026 at 11:00 am at Boxwell Brothers Memorial Chapel, 500 N. Maddox, Dumas, Texas. The family welcomes all who wish to attend and celebrate Debbie’s life.
Debbie was born on December 24, 1956 in Topeka, Kansas to Billy Ray and Dixie Brummett. She grew up in Shattock, Oklahoma, as well as Amarillo and Dumas, Texas. A 1975 graduate of Dumas High School, Debbie was active in sports and known for her kind, giving, and compassionate spirit.
She began her career at K-Bob’s Steakhouse and Cactus Feeders before moving to Searcy, Arkansas where she worked in accounting and payroll. Debbie later settled in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, where she held positions at Carpet Direct and Bob Hurley Ford & RV in Tulsa. She was admired for her strong work ethic, reliability, and friendly demeanor.
Family was Debbie’s greatest joy. She was a devoted mother to Christopher Scott King and Tiffany Donnell King and played an instrumental role in raising her grandson, Tristyn Scott King, offering constant love, guidance, and encouragement. She opened her home to Michael King during his senior year in high school at Searcy.
Debbie was preceded in death by her father, Bill Brummett and her beloved son, Christopher Scott King.
She is survived by her mother, Dixie Brummett; daughter Tiffany Donnell King of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; grandson, Airman Tristyn Scott King, stationed in Spangdahlem, Germany; granddaughter, Mia Marie King of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; sister Pam Duffer of Sumner, Texas; Michael King of Georgia, and Brandon King of California; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Debbie will be remembered for her gentle heart, quiet strength, and unwavering devotion to family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
