Derek Joseph Andrews

Derek Joseph Andrews, 64, of Wichita Falls, Texas passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2026.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. – 6:00 P.M., Monday, August 10, 2026, at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home. Services will be at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at the Llano Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd., Amarillo, Texas.

Derek was born in Amarillo, Texas on April 7, 1962. He was raised by Betty Joyce (Johnson) and Harold Gene Andrews.

Derek graduated from Amarillo High School where he ran track and cross-country. He then graduated with a bachelor's degree from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls in 1993. After graduation, Derek went to work for the State of Texas in Child Protective Services. He retired from CPS in 2017.

Derek enjoyed spending his time golfing and being on Facebook. He loved keeping up with family and friends and enjoyed writing posts.

He is survived by his brothers, Don Andrews and wife LaDonna, and Scott Andrews and wife Lori; nieces and nephews, Adam, Alex, Claire, Olivia, Meredith, Preston, and Madison; aunt, Donna Von Osinski; and uncle, Dean Andrews and wife Lorelei.
