It’s with heavy hearts the family of Deven Eli James Antonucci, 16 of Amarillo Tx announces his passing on May 2nd 2026. Born on September 8th 2009. Deven was a young man known for his infectious smile, his kind heart, intelligence and perfectly timed witty comebacks.

Deven shared an unbreakable bond with his family and friends who were the center of his world. He always thought with his heart and genuinely cared about the people around him. He had a natural way of making people feel valued and included. His natural ease in conversations drew in even the most socially awkward of people, and his presence left a lasting impression on everyone who crossed his path. That smile and laugh brought warmth and light to everyone who knew him. He had a unique and one of a kind style of baggy pants, a cut off shirt with one arm out which earned him his fathers endearing nickname of Designer Dev.

At just 16 years old, he lived with a spirit far beyond his years. His love for the outdoors defined so much of who he was; whether it was skiing down the snowy slopes in the winter, or tearing it up on the jet ski and being thrown off the tube with his friends. He came alive in these restless pursuits of adventure and adrenaline, his happy place. He truly loved life and was always searching for his next big adventure, fully embracing each moment with enthusiasm and joy.

He excelled in school in all pre-AP classes, showing determination, a growth mindset and emotional resilience. Deven had a dream to own his own clothing company and of joining the Airforce, one he spoke of with pride, strength and conviction, displaying his courage and desire to be a part of something greater than himself.

Though his time here was brief, the impact he made is immeasurable. His laughter, energy and his genuine kindness created memories that will be cherished forever. He will be deeply missed, forever loved and never forgotten.

He is preceded in death by his grandpas James Antonucci and Lee Jacobsen, his uncle Damion Antonucci, his great grandpa Ismael Alday Jr, his great uncle Alex Hernandez and great uncle Ivan Delgadillo
