Donald Goodwin

Donald Rochelle Goodwin, 93, lifelong resident of Amarillo, passed away November 13, 2025 at his home.

Services will be at 10:00 AM, Monday, November 24, 2025, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel with Pastor Danny Rendon officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Amarillo, TX. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Donald was born September 21, 1932, in Amarillo, TX to Jessie Hillin and Rochelle Goodwin. Upon graduation from Amarillo High School, he served in the United State Air Force and was stationed in England for a number of years before his honorable discharge. His military service included working as a B-47 mechanic. After his return to Amarillo, he was employed by Pantex until his retirement. Don Goodwin was a Christian.

He was preceded in death by his 2nd wife Ruby, his parents, his sister Marlene Sexton, her husband Ralph Sexton, and a nephew Barry Sexton.

Survivors include a daughter, Amy Corser of Atlanta Ga., 2 granddaughters - Abby and Hope of Atlanta Ga., nephew Randy Sexton of Richardson, stepchildren Carter Ramzel of San Antonio, and Stephnie McGhee of Yuma Az.

The family requests donations be made to a favorite charity in lieu of flowers. Much thanks to Interim Hospice and PCM for your help caring for Mr. Goodwin.
