Dwaina Little Pitts

Dwaina Little Pitts, 81, went home to be with the Lord on December 23, 2025.

Family and friends are invited to come together on Monday, January 5, 2026 from 6-7:00 p.m. at Boxwell Brothers, 2800 Paramount Blvd, Amarillo, TX to share cherished memories.

Dwaina was born to Dwain and Emarie Little on March 30, 1944 and graduated from Palo Duro High School. Her former spouse was Phillip Key and they shared one child, Cody Ray Key. She later went to work for Southwestern Public Service Company where she met and married the love of her life, Dale Pitts on May 24, 1985. They moved to Arvada, Colorado in 1997 where Dwaina was employed by the U.S. Department of the Interior Bureau of Reclamation. After the death of her beloved husband, Dale, Dwaina moved back to Amarillo. Dwaina was an artist with an expressive wit and the ability to bring joy and beauty to those around her. She will be remembered as always being kind to others and will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her son, Cody Ray Key; two stepsons, Todd Pitts and Chad Pitts of Amarillo; several nieces, nephews and grandchildren.

Dwaina was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Pitts; her parents, Dwain and Emarie Little and her sister, Barbara Ellis.
