Earnest Lee Chasteen

Earnest Lee Chasteen, 82 of Amarillo died July 3, 2024 in Amarillo. 

A funeral service will be held Saturday July 6, 2024 at 10:00a.m. at Boxwell Brothers Ivy chapel, 2800 paramount blvd, with Dr. G.A. Roach, officiating. Burial will follow at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.

Earnest was born December 5, 1941 in Paducah, Texas to Roy Newton and Ora Carper Chasteen. He married Linda Rachel and they had three daughters. He was a cement mason. He loved fishing, playing the guitar and being around the family.

He was preceded in death by one daughter Evelyn Delile, a son-in-law Randy Morrison, a great grandson, Justin and a great granddaughter, Noralee. He was also preceded in death by four brothers LeRoy, Buddy, O’Dell and Howard; and two sisters, Sue and Oradel.

He is survived by his wife, Linda of the home; two daughters Carol Morrison and Cheryl Greer, both of Amarillo; a sister Betty Chasteen of Mineral Wells, TX; grandchildren Brandon, Seth, Chase, Megan, Chris, Jason, Tabitha, Samantha and Jessica and 13 great grandchildren Austin, Lauren, Tyler, Aspen, Avery, Riley Brayden, Jayden, Thea, Asher, Talyn, Emilia, and Emmitt.
