Floyd Lee Odell

Floyd Lee Odell, 69, of Amarillo, Texas, passed away on June 28, 2026.

Graveside services will be at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, July 2, 2026, at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 14200 IH-27 South, Amarillo, Texas 79119. Arrangements are made by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, Amarillo.

Lee was born in Amarillo, Texas, on December 18, 1956, to Vada Ophelia (Appling) and Ernest Clinton Odell. He graduated from Palo Duro High School in 1975 and went on to earn an associate degree from Amarillo College. Lee worked as a signalman for BNSF for 35 years.

Lee enjoyed spending time and spoiling his nieces and nephews. He also was a gun enthusiast who loved to shoot. He also enjoyed woodworking.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Ernest Clinton “Clint” Odell.

He is survived by his sister, Nettie Rangel and husband Coney; brother, John Robert “Bob” Odell and wife Renae; sister, Kerry Hood and husband Steve; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
