Frances Kay Bippes

Frances Kay Bippes, 81, of Dumas, died Wednesday, July 1, 2026. 

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, July 9, 2026 at Boxwell Brothers Memorial Chapel, 500 N. Maddox. Private burial at Northlawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors of Dumas.

Kay was born on December 27, 1944 in Vallejo, CA. to Gene and Juanita Palmateer. She graduated from Savanna High School in Anaheim, CA. She moved to Dumas in 1990 and owned Paint and Piddle. She loved ceramics and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Bippes.

She is survived by two daughters, Stephany Gervasi of Amarillo and Shannon Friese and husband Brian of Dumas; two sons, Frank Horn and wife Julie of Utah and Larry Kelsay and wife Fannie of Farwell, TX.; fourteen grandchildren and twenty-three great grandchildren.
